No, modal fabric and bamboo fabric are not the same, though both are plant-based and known for their softness. Modal is made from beech tree pulp and undergoes a more advanced processing method than regular rayon, making it stronger, more durable, and resistant to shrinkage. Bamboo fabric, usually processed as viscose, comes from bamboo pulp and is often soft and breathable but may be less durable over time. How should I care for my items?
Caring for modal fabric is relatively easy, and more simple than bamboo. With proper care, it can maintain its softness and durability over time. Here’s the best way to care for modal fabric:
• Machine Wash: Use a gentle cycle with cold water to preserve the fabric’s softness and prevent shrinkage. • Detergent: Use a mild, gentle detergent to avoid damaging the fibers. • Avoid Bleach: Do not use bleach or harsh chemicals, as these can break down the fibers. • Air or Tumble Dry: It's best to air-dry modal fabrics by laying them flat. Or if you prefer to use a dryer, opt for a low heat setting to prevent damage. • Low Heat: If ironing is necessary, use a low heat setting and iron inside out to prevent any shine or damage to the surface. • Avoid Hanging: Modal can stretch over time if hung, so it’s better to fold the fabric neatly when storing.
With these simple steps, modal fabric will retain its softness, color, and durability.
What size should I buy?
To determine your size, please refer to our size charts. Our Grow-With-Me Zippies run large, so please keep this in mind when ordering. The two piece sets run more TTS(true-to-size), as do our joggers.
If you are in between sizes, we generally suggest choosing the larger size for a looser fit or the smaller size for a more snug fit. Children's sleepwear should always be snug-fitting for maximum safety.
Keep in mind that different styles may have slightly varied measurements, so always refer to the specific sizing chart for each item.

How do Pre-Orders work?
Pre-Orders ensure that you get the exact sizes and styles you need once a new design is launched. Pre-order products are all labeled as pre-order. Our pre-order TAT (turn-around time) is appoximately 8-10 weeks. All pre-order sales are final, so please remember to take sizing into account for the promised turn around time. If you order a pre-order product, we'll keep you updated every step of the way via email.
When will my order ship?
Ready-to-send items ship within 3-5 days after your order is placed. Pre-Order items will vary in turnaround time, but average 8-10 weeks from when the pre-order was launched. Please refer to the info on the Pre-order for more accurate turnaround times.
Can I edit or cancel my order?
After an order is placed, unfortunately we cannot process edits or cancellations due to our warehouse fulfillment system. Please contact us if you would like to return unworn items, see below for our return policy.
Errors In Shipping Addresses
If an order is returned to our warehouse for a customer-entered address error, customers will be responsible for paying for a new shipping label.
How can I find my order history?
Once you log into your account, you can see a list of your order history. The order number, date, items ordered as well as the "fulfillment status" will all be visible.
Shipping & Returns
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes, all U.S. orders over $100 will automatically receive free shipping at checkout. Your total after discounts must be over $100 for shipping to be automatically removed.
Where do you ship?
Currently, we only ship within the US, including Alaska and Hawaii. We hope to offer Canadian shipping soon if there is enough demand.
Can I track my order?
U.S. orders will receive a tracking number via email once your order has been shipped. You can use this tracking number to monitor the status of your shipment.
Can I change my shipping address after placing an order?
We understand things happen, so if you need to change your shipping address, please contact our customer support email as soon as possible. Starstuffvt@gmail.com
We will do our best to update the address before the order is shipped. Once the order has been shipped, we can no longer accommodate address changes. It is best to confirm that your address is correct before placing your order.
What is your return policy?
Our return policy extends for 10 days from the date you receive your item, allowing you to initiate a return within this timeframe, with the exception of sale and clearance items. These items will be marked "Final Sale"
To qualify for a return, your item must meet the following criteria: it must remain in the same condition as when you received it, must not have been worn or used, must retain its attached tags, and must be in its original packaging. Additionally, you will need to provide the receipt or proof of purchase along with your return request. In instances where an item is returned in a condition that doesn't meet these requirements, the customer will be responsible for covering the return shipping costs.
To start a return, you can contact us at starstuffvt@gmail.com. If your return is accepted, we will either provide a return label or request you provide your own (depending on the reason for the return) as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
Please note that all returned items and orders are subject to a 10% restocking fee, which is calculated as 10% of the total value of the returned item(s). Customers are responsible for any costs associated with returning an item, such as shipping. Returns typically take 3-4 weeks to process.
